2015 was the year of Grime as UK artists celebrated with big wins at the MOBO Awards last night.

The MOBO Awards was oozing with talent this year as top acts from around the UK gathered together to celebrate music of black origin. There were some big nominees competing for a Gong with Krept & Konan and Stormzy winning big on the night.

Founded in 1996 the MOBO Awards and pay homage to some of the best UK talent we’ve ever seen. It was a privilege to see Stormzy take away Best Male & Best Grime Act, the biggest name in grime since Skepta. His raw sound and hood lyrics captivate the real essence of the streets, making the ‘child of grime’ from South London one to watch for the next few years.

Another South London duo, Krept & Konan took home Best Hip Hop and Best Album, as they really pushed their talent of clever lyricism to the limit and won over fans not only in the UK but the US aswell.

It was a great year for the MOBO’s including Lenny Henry’s epic acceptance speech (try to catch that if you can!)
