THE ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA – Royal Rumble 2015 predictions by Highlight Nation
It’s where dreams start to become reality, where the underdogs can become the top dogs, the most unpredictable night of the year and the road to Wrestlemania
Yes ladies and gentleman, boy and girls, children of all ages…the Royal Rumble 2015 PPV is finally here and it has the potential to be one of the most electrifying Rumbles the WWE has ever seen.
The match card has some great potential on it this year, so here we are to give you our insight and predictions for the Royal Rumble 2015:
The New Day (Big E, Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) vs. Adam Rose, Cesaro & Tyson Kidd
6 man Tag Team Elimination Match
We’ve all seen what these superstars can do as individuals and now they have the chance to put on a thrilling show as a team. With high flying action from Kofi Kingston and the powerhouses Big E and Cesaro I’m sure we’ll see a diverse match to kick off the PPV. Having not seen much from Adam Rose and Tyson Kidd this year it will be interesting to see how well they work together to possibly cause an upset. However the unity we have seen since the New Day made their debut it is hard to see them losing to team that looked like their names were picked out of a hat.
Predicted Winner: The New Day
The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg & Billy Gunn) vs. The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor)
Tag Team Match
The veterans have appeared from behind the scenes again to make another appearance at the Royal Rumble. This time they take on the newest Tag Team partners that are making a bold statement in the ring, The Ascension. This is a smart move by WWE as let’s be honest The New Age Outlaws will gain nothing from winning and The Ascension have all to prove, a win over the 5 time Tag Team Champions of the World will benefit with greatly in their climb to the top of the ladder.
Predicted Winner: The Ascension
Paige & Natalya vs The Bella Twins (Brie Bella & Nikki Bella)
Tag Team Match
Sure, it seems like all we’re going to see is tag team matches throughout the whole night and maybe this would be the perfect time for the famous toilet break we all love to take. Now with no Diva Title on the line, I looks to me as if this match is just a time filler and to get the Total Divas some extra air time away from their first job.
Predicted Winner: The Bella Twins
(C) The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) vs. The Miz & Damian Mizdow
Championship Tag Team Match
Having seen the past week of RAW, I think my prediction is pretty one sided. After The Miz caught Damien Mizdow playing the stunt double for X-Pac and the fact that the Miz has started to notice the WWE Universe are starting to favour his stunt double over him, this could mean the destruction of the team if they lose at Royal Rumble. Especially as the two are in the Royal Rumble match, it could see opportunity for sabotage. I have a feeling we’re are going to lose a great Tag Team partnership tomorrow.
Predicted Winners: The Usos
(C) Brock Lesnar Vs. Seth Rollins Vs. John Cena
Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Rollins has finally made it to the main event with a shot at the WWE Title. This is going to be a brutal match no matter who the winner is, but all in all I can’t see anyone else but Brock walking away with his title. Rollins has the cunnings to steal the win and he also may have the opportunity to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, doubling his chance of winning. However with the return of Sting and his budding vendetta against Triple H and The Authority, there may be some interference when it comes to Rollins capitalising on his opportunities.
Predicted Winner: Brock Lesnar
30 Man Royal Rumble Match
Going in to the largest match of the year, we have our eye on a number of entrants that have the chance to create their own destiny and be on the road to Wrestlemania. We’ve already heard rumours of Chris Jericho and the Dudley Boyz returning to cause some havoc, so we might be treated to a few tables. However our eyes are on the likes of Daniel Bryan, can the underdog make his return and claim back what is rightfully his by winning the Royal Rumble, or maybe the master of the unverse Bray Wyatt. Is it his time to step up and be on his way to claiming the one thing that will give him the ultimate power in WWE. Or last but not least, Roman Reigns. One of the most powerful superstars in the WWE right now, and with his return not too long ago he has been kicking ass and taking names. Can he surpass the record he broke last year by eliminating 13 men and winning the Royal Rumble?
Predicted Winner: Roman Reigns
